I have worked with Kymbal Dunne of Knight Frank over the past three and a half (3.5) years on a range of property matters involving Viacom’s businesses – Paramount Pictures, MTV, Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Media Distribution in Sydney, North Ryde and Melbourne, Australia.

Kymbal was originally recommended to me by one of our landlords in Sydney, Don Cannone at Dexus as someone who could provide a high standard of service and market knowledge to our business. As I am based in New York managing our global property interest it is vital that I have a network of representatives in various countries that I can call upon to advise our business. Kymbal’s role at Knight Frank has been to assemble, orchestrate and lead a team of professionals who have provided services across Office Leasing, Sales, Valuation, Due Diligence, Global Corporate Services and Project Management.

In the case of my Paramount project, the first step was to work through the needs of our two (2) local businesses and then come up with a property strategy. From there we worked together to collocate the two businesses to new headquarters space at Pyrmont. The process of bringing two (2) previously independent businesses together was typically difficult but I found that Kymbal’s teams were up to the challenge. Once the task was complete the Paramount owned Sydney city HQ was available to be sold. Kymbal and his team convinced me that should be sold by Public Auction because of the strength of buyer demand. I accepted the recommendation and the property was widely marketed. The final price achieved was 29.5% more than our expectations. It was an unbelievable result from a very committed team of professionals. This process was replicated in Melbourne on a smaller scale but Knight Frank had the depth to manage the process in that market too and I was also very pleased with the outcome.

Kymbal always took the time necessary to fully understand the needs of an international company. Despite the time difference between our countries, he always found the time to connect live by telephone and made great efforts to keep me updated and apprised of the status and situations needing our feedback or intervention. He works diligently to make the deal that not only meets our corporate needs but is also a well negotiated economic transaction. For me, working with Kymbal goes well beyond just having “trust” and confidence in your agent. I am very pleased to have Kymbal as my agent and also very proud to call him a friend. I consider Kymbal as one of the top five (5) real estate representatives in the World that I have had the pleasure to work with and would be very pleased to elaborate on his strengths and character.
